Campus overview

Raising Disciplined Young Men of Character

Anestar Boys Senior School is a boys' boarding school in Nakuru that shapes confident, disciplined and God-fearing young men ready for the world.

Built on the Christian values that have guided Anestar Schools since 2001, our Senior School combines strong academics with firm discipline and mentorship. Our boys have a long record of excellent national examination results, including a first-place finish in Nakuru County in the 2019 KCSE. Under the Competency Based Curriculum, learners in Grades 10 to 12 follow a pathway that suits their talents and ambitions, supported by dedicated teachers, a safe boarding environment and co-curricular activities that build leadership, teamwork and character. Here, every boy is known, guided and challenged to become his best.

How learning works (CBE)

Senior School

Grades 10 to 12

Pathway-based learning lets each learner go deeper in the subjects that fit their strengths.

What is CBE?

CBE (Competency-Based Education, formerly CBC) is built around broad learning areas rather than the old 8-4-4 subject-and-exam model. Learners are supported through continuous, holistic assessment as they move through the curriculum, with a focus on practical understanding, skills development and steady progress rather than a single high-stakes exam.

CBE assessment reports learner achievement by competency bands, not by ranking or position. This supports a more balanced learning experience and reduces the pressure of a single exam-driven outcome.

Teaching the CBE way

Under CBE, our teachers take on the role of facilitator rather than simply delivering content — guiding learners through inquiry-based, hands-on activities that build real understanding rather than memorisation. Lessons are designed around KICD's official curriculum designs for each learning area, with continuous assessment used to track and support every learner's progress throughout the term, not just at exam time.

ADMISSIONS

A clear, welcoming enrolment process

Anestar Boys Lanet — Senior School admissions

We meet every child as a person, not just a name on a list.

Admissions starts with a conversation — not a form. We get to know your child and your family before any decision is made, and every family is invited to visit, meet the team, and see if it's the right fit.

We would love to welcome your family to Anestar Boys Lanet — Senior School .
